A blind student from the Primary Music School, 1st grade – violin

Sandra has been learning to sing under the guidance of professionals for three years now, among others she has attended voice training workshops run by Elżbieta Zapendowska. Thanks to the education and her talent she has won many awards and has been distinguished in many national competitions. She was a finalist of the "Magic Song" festival organized by Anna Dymna (Mimowszystko Foundation). She loves her artistic work and it is only music which gives her peace and opens her towards people. Sandra, thanks to the kindness of the Signum Foundation can make her plans and dreams come true, the financial support helps to pay for the voice training sessions and singing lessons as well as for the purchase of the instrument. I can see how much joy she derives from singing and appearing on stage. She sees her future exclusively in music.

I would like to sincerely thank for supporting me with a grant. Thanks to your generosity and kindness life will be much easier for me and my mum. I will be able to pay for my karate training sessions and buy things which I need (shoes, clothes, books and newspapers) including food. Thanks to the Foundation we were able to buy an outfit for special occasions, my karate kit, and in July I was able to go to a summer camp which made me very happy. From September I'm starting to attend Leon Kruczkowski High School at ul. Zeromskiego in Chodzież, in a mathematics-geography class. I'm a bit anxious because the level of teaching in the school is very high but I will try to do my best. Thank you once again for your kindness and the care you provided for our family as well as for giving us the sense of security.

Thank you very much for financing our stay at the camp. The photo was taken on Gubałówka. We went to the top in a cable car and we came down on a chair lift. We have very fond memories of the camp, for the first time we saw the Tatra Mountains.

In this pre-festive time we are turning our best thoughts to the people in the Foundation sharing our good news. The medical consultation with doctor John Hungerford in March confirmed the success in treating Adaś's eyesight. The course of treatment with Melphalan administered last year in London was the last chance to save his vision. It was the money which seemed a barrier. The Signum Foundation reached out their helping hand to us. We will always remember about the kind gesture. It was a gift that touched our hearts and will always remain heartfelt. Thanks to your help our little boy can see and is developing very well. Adaś is attending special needs classes in the Centre for Visually Impaired Children in Lublin where he is improving his vision and his manual motor skills. Recently he was decorating Easter cards. We are sending one of them to you with the season's greetings of Happy Easter! May the kindness that you showed to Adaś return to you with double strength.
