A MEETING OF THE BOARD OF THE SIGNUM FOUNDATION

A meeting of the Board of the Signum Foundation, devoted to the project of the Foundation of the foreign branch and its conception took place in Venice. We talked about our plans with our guests: Adam Budak, Sebastian Cichocki, Ewa Franus, Kaja Pawelek and prof. Andrzej Turowski.

2nd WORKSHOP OF THE JOY OF LIFE

The programme of the 2nd Workshop of the Joy of Life (12-20.04.2008) shifted the attention of children from perception by senses to intellectual cognition. The task of the workshop was to save the world... The children had to choose some things which they later tried to save. The choices were made through playing Noah's Ark and constituted a lesson in recognizing the hierarchy of the importance of various matters in life. We added the Group of Action to the groups which already existed. Referring to King Mathew I by Janusz Korczak, the Group of Action organized a political debate involving children who discussed the possibilities of repairing the world and prepared a real... political demonstration in Rybojady.

AWARD OF THE MENOR OF DIALOGUE TO PROF. WŁADYSŁAW BARTOSZEWSKI

During the celebrations of the 11th Day of Judaism a ceremony of presenting the Award of The Menor of Dialogue which this year was granted for the second time by the Coexist Society took place in Poznań Waga Miejska. The Signum Foundation is the patron of the award. The laureate of the distinction for "promoting close contact between people, cultures, religions and nations" was prof. Władysław Bartoszewski.
